Black kitchen – simple elegance

One of our projects in a renovated apartment, right here in Riga, in quiet Čiekurklana. A black and bold kitchen design solution, as an accent in a calm interior.

Straight kitchen with island for extra work surface. The kitchen is designed so that the kitchen cabinets reach all the way to the waist, leaving an elegant shadow seam.

The kitchen facades use Egger perfect sense decor, which is equivalent to the popular Fenix decor. Because of its properties, it is popular specifically when used in dark decors. It is fingerprint-free, matt so it reflects little light, is pleasant to use every day and easy to care for.

The work surface uses premium oak from Austrian manufacturer Egger. Both the kitchen worktop and the island have straight edges without the rounded edges that are typical of laminate products.

For the kitchen, open shelving is incorporated as a design solution, both in the colour of the facades and in the surface décor. It makes the kitchen, and the life of the dust, a little more interesting.

The kitchen has a black German Blanco mixer and a stone sink. The nice thing about the mixer tap is that it has a separate switch for the filtered water, so there is no need for an extra tap.

The wall decor is light honeycomb tiles, which blend harmoniously into the overall feel of the space. Black sockets and switches are a “must have” for a modern and trendy design.
